In this paper, we confirm Han and Romero's observation that English and Korean are different in availability of alternative questions, show that only a CP conjunction can function as an alternative question, and propose that lexicalization must have the Coordination Marker Parameter or a version of it for the different availability of alternative questions to be explained in a principled way.
