      The purpose of this thesis is to examine the effects of the group art therapy program for reducing the stress of the third-year students in alternative high school. For the study, study questions were established as the followings. First, we will examine the effects of the group art therapy program for reducing the stress of the third-year students in alternative high school. Second, we will examine the procedure of the group art therapy program sessions and the individual changes.
      The subjects of this thesis were 6 third-year students (2 men, 4 women) in alternative high school which is located in Wanju, Jeollabukdo. And also when the art therapy program was performed in a total of 14 sessions one a week and each session was 90 minutes, we made a comparison of the changes between pro-program and post-program.
      The results of this study are as the followings.
      1. After the group art therapy was performed, the total score of stress coping test, which the third-year students in the alternative high school took, decreased compared to the score of them without performing the group art therapy.
      2. After the group art therapy was performed, the effect of reducing stress appeared as a result of comparative analysis on the stress before Draw-A-Person in the Rain Test and the stress after Draw-A-Person in the Rain Test, which the third-year students in the alternative high school took.
      3. After the group art therapy was performed, much reducing stress appeared in drawing changes of the alternative school third-year students according to sessions.
      Although there are several restrictive points in generalizing the results of the study above, I think that if the alternative high school third-year students are given the basis to support youth-support-program and the group art therapy is performed on the alternative high school third-year students who have stress it would be a big help to their psychological and emotional stability.
