한국 SF 그림책 속 인공지능의 유형 분석 : 2010년 이후 작품을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 국내에서 인공지능(AI)에 관한 관심이 높아지면서 그와 관련된 SF 아동문학 작품이 등장하고 있다. 아 동문학 작품은 아동에게 자신이 살아가는 세계에 대한 이해와 전망을 보여준다는 점에서 차세대에게 미치는 영 향력이 크다. 따라서 본 연구는 최근 국내에 출간된 그림책을 선별하여 AI에 관하여 어떤 내용을 다루고 있는지 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 2010년∼2022년까지 출판된 SF 그림책 15권을 선별하고, 직접 내용분석 방법을 활용하 여 AI의 경향성을 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, AI가 중심인물로 등장하는 SF 그림책이 다수를 차지하였고, 인간과 AI가 협력적 동반 관계로 그린 이야기가 대부분이었다. 이는 국내 아동문학계에서 AI가 주요한 대상으로 인식되 고 있음을 나타내며, 독자들이 AI에 대한 긍정적 태도와 정서적 유대감을 가질 수 있다는 측면에서 인간과 AI의 공진화를 긍정적으로 보여주고 있다. 반면 AI의 여러 유형 중 ‘약 인공지능’이 대부분을 차지하며, 그 형태가 ‘휴 머노이드’라는 점, 인간과 AI의 갈등을 드러내는 작품이 적다는 측면에서 한계도 있다. 따라서 앞으로 SF 그림 책에서 AI의 다양한 종류나 형태를 다채롭게 보여줄 필요가 있으며, AI 기술에 대한 갈등이나 윤리적인 쟁점들 도 함께 다룰 필요가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently, as interest in artificial intelligence(AI) has increased in Korea, SF children's literature related to it has emerged. Children's literature has a great influence on the next generation in that they show children understanding and prospects for the world. Therefore, this study selected picture books recently published in Korea and examined what they are dealing with AI. 15 SF picture books published from 2010 to 2022 were selected and the tendency of AI was examined using direct content analysis methods. As a result, many SF picture books featuring AI as the central character, and most of the stories were drawn by humans and AI through cooperative partnership. This indicates that AI is recognized as a major target in the children's literature world, and it positively shows the co-evolution of humans and AI in that readers can have a positive attitude and emotional bond with AI. On the other hand, among the various types of AI, ‘Weak AI’ accounts for most, and there were limitations in that the form was ‘humanoid’ and there were few works that revealed the conflict between humans and AI. Therefore, it is necessary to show various types and forms of AI in SF picture books, and to deal with conflicts and ethical issues about AI technology.
