『조선여행안내기』를 통해 본 1930년대 한국의 관광자원

Modern tourism in Korea was initiated during the Japanese occupation period. The Japanese regime tried to implant Japanese tourism culture into Korea. The Japanese government-general of the Joseon led the development of tourist spots, focusing on areas near the railway lines. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of tourism resources developed through this process. The Bureau of Railroad under Japanese government-general of the Joseon was a government agency which played a leading role in developing the tourism resources in Korea. All the tourism resources contained in the Travel Guidebook of Joseon(朝鮮旅行案內記) which was published by the Bureau of Railroad in 1934 were extracted. Then, the types, distribution, and features of them were analyzed. According to the analysis, many of the tourism resources of the era turned out to be ones that were developed for the Japanese on Japanese point of view.
