국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등학생의 가정환경, 정서지능, 창의성 변인과 학업성적간의 인과관계를 분석하고 가정환경, 정서지능, 창의성 변인이 어떻게 학업성적에 직·간접적인 영향을 주는지의 경로과정을 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 가정환경, 정서지능, 창의성 변인이 학업성적에 미치는 영향을 결론적으로 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정환경 변인은 학업성적에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라, 정서지능과 창의성을 통해 간접적인 영향을 미친다. 따라서, 학업성적의 향상시키기 위해서는 학생의 가정환경 뿐만 아니라, 정서지능과 창의성을 모두 고려하여 교사는 많은 관심을 기울여야 한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 정서지능과 창의성은 학업성적 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 따라서, 학업성적을 향상시키기 위해서는 열악한 가정환경을 극복하고 정서지능과 창의성을 발달시킬 수 있는 교수·학습 방법을 모색해야 한다.

This study set out to analyze the causal relations among home environment,emotional intelligence, creativity and academic performance of elementarystudents and to investigate the process of the first three variables having directand indirect impacts on academic performance. As a result, the followingconclusions were drawn; first, the home environment variable not only haddirect impacts on academic performance but also exercised indirect influences onit through emotional intelligence and creativity. The result indicates that theteachers should take into account their students' emotional intelligence andcreativity as well as their home environment and invest much interest andconcern in them so that the students can improve their academic performance.
Second, both emotional intelligence and creativity turned out to have positiveimpacts on the students' enhancement of academic performance, which calls fora need to find such teaching and learning methods as can help the studentsovercome their inferior home environment and improve their emotionalintelligence and creativity so as to upgrade their academic performance.
