Oxfam 세계시민교육과정에 대한 예비유아교사의 인식 = Pre-service Early Childhood Teachers` Awareness on Oxfam`s Curriculum for Global Citizenship

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to explore pre-service teacher awareness of the goals, principles, contents, and approach to teaching and learning proposed by Oxfam. The questionnaire was composed on the translated versions of global citizenship guides published by Oxfam (2015a, 2015b) and was conducted to 493 pre-service teachers studying at the 6 universities program. The results showed that the respondents intended to perceive the 56 items as the fundamentals positively for early global citizenship education. Some items were relatively stressed-e.g., `taking responsibility for their actions` as a goal, `enriching everyday teaching and learning` as a principle, `importance of caring and sharing` as a knowledge, `listening to others` as a skill, `sense of self-worth and worth of others` as a attitude, and `providing the opportunities for learners to take informed, reflective action` as a approach to teaching and learning. The researchers suggested the further discussion for constructing the fundamentals of early global citizenship education, and the future researches for developing and implementing the program in the Korean early childhood education.
