This study explored the newly qualified teachers` teaching experiences and needs regarding children`s behavior problems in order to get effective teaching and guiding methods and teaching improvement. The participants of this study were 10 newly appointed teachers who have worked in private kindergartens and child care centers in Korea? The researchers conducted in depth interviews and gathered the data. This study found that firstly, the newly qualified teachers applied the giving attention to the children, circle time discussion and using story books which is about relevant behavior problems, 1: 1 interaction, co-work with family and co-teachers, using time-out, using positive reinforcement, giving a warning being assertive, or threatening loosing teachers` temper on children`s behavior. Secondly, the newly qualified teachers had difficulties for teaching children`s behavior problems. The difficulties were due to the teachers` psychological matters, the difficult relationships with the parents` of the children, and the working environments. Lastly, the newly qualified teachers` wanted psychological and physical supports, intensified pre-service teacher training regarding the guidance for children`s behavior problems, collaboration with professionals, developing a mentoring program, and intensified parent education program for dealing with children`s behavior problems.
