태몽현상을 통한 임신·출산·성별예측에 대한 통계검증

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 C. G. Jung의 분석심리학 이론을 토대로 태몽현상을 통계적으로 검증하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 태몽현상을 이론적인 토대를 두고 통계적으로 예측함으로써 태아의 건강한 임신·출산과 태어난 어린이에 대한 건전한 양육문화를 정립하는 데 기여하고자 한다.
분석 대상은 구글폼으로 작성한 설문지를 인터넷을 통하여 3차(’22. 4., 22. 11., 23. 4.)에 걸쳐서 태몽을 꾼 임산부나 친척 등을 대상으로 수집한 305개 사례이다. 연구방법은 양적인 통계분석을 하였고, 질적분석으로 일부 보완하였다. 분석을 통하여 통계적으로 검증된 주요 내용은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 임산부의 임신 전 혹은 임신 중 꾼 꿈에서 태아의 상징인 원형상(archetypal images)의 출현은 임신이나 출산 가능성을 높은 확률로 예측할 수 있다. 둘째, 태아의 성별은 태몽에서 명확히 암시하는 경우를 제외하고 출현한 원형상의 모습만으로 예측할 수 없다. 셋째, 정신현상인 태몽과 물리적 사건인 임신사실이 시간과 공간을 초월하여 의미상 일치를 이루는 융의 동시성 현상(synchronicity phenomena)이 태몽현상에서도 확인된다. 넷째, 출현한 원형상과 꿈 꾼 이와의 긍정적 행동(접촉, 목격 등)이 임산부의 출산 예측을 크게 높힌다. 반면에, 민가의 믿음과는 달리 꿈 꾼 이와 원형상과의 부정적 행동(분리, 이탈)의 결합이 태아의 사산이나 유산을 반드시 암시하지는 않는다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that birth dreams regarding children can be explained based on the analytical psychology of C. G. Jung. In addition, we seek to provide a theoretical basis for birth dreams to contribute to healthy pregnancies, childbirth, and the establishment of a responsible child rearing culture. Data regarding 305 birth dreams was collected via the Internet from individuals who were either pregnant or had experienced birth dreams.
Statistical analysis has verified the following major points. Firstly, the appearance of archetypal images that highly symbolize a fetus alludes to pregnancy. Secondly, Jung’s synchronicity phenomena, or the meaningful connection of psychological phenomena (dreams) with physical events (pregnancy) that transcends space-time, can be found in birth dreams as well. Thirdly, a combination of the emergence of archetypal images and positive actions by the dreamer can result in childbirth for a pregnant woman.
