농업인재양성 장학금의 현황과 개선방안 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purposes of this research are to analyze the current state of scholarship programs and to develop improvement measures for the students of agricultural area. For this, the current scholarship projects and policies of the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Rural Affairs (Hope Foundation for Rural Community), research reports and related materials are collected and analyzed. A questionnaire survey targeting recipients of the scholarship is also carried out.
Major findings are as follow: First, the scholarship criteria are unclear and unsuitable for nurturing next-generation agriculturalist (farming successor). Second, scholarship is limited to tuition assistance only and the amount of scholarship is not sufficient . Third, the process of selecting scholarship student is complicate and lacks consistency every year. Fourth, contents and diversity of training is not enough to educate students. Fifth, publicity of scholarship programs and follow-up management are insufficient and inadequate. Improvement measures to resolve these problems and to weigh the different needs of scholarship students are drawn as follows. First, for high school students, the scholarship criteria should be based on performance results and the determination of students working for the agricultural area. Second, as for college and university level, the scholarship is aimed at nurturing farming successor. For this, screening criteria for scholarship students should be based on the performance and activities in the agricultural areas and scholarship programs be reshuffled. To put it more concretely, Presidential Agricultural Scholarship, idea contest for agricultural business start-up, internship system at domestic farms, agricultural corporation, agricultural research and government agency, global internship are suggested.
