초등교사 부부의 성격 5요인이 결혼만족, 일-가정 갈등 및 대처에 미치는 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 초등교사 부부의 성격 5요인과 결혼만족, 일-가정 갈등 및 대처 수준을 탐 색하고, 성격 5요인이 부부의 결혼만족과 일-가정 갈등 및 대처에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 유․아동 자녀를 양육하고 있는 초등교사 부부 50쌍(남편, 아내 각 50 명)을 대상으로 자기보고식 설문을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 IBM SPSS 29.0 프로그램을 활 용하여 분석하였으며, 위계적 다중회귀분석을 통해 성격 5요인이 결혼만족 및 일-가정 갈등 과 대처에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 각 연구 변인의 수준 분석 결과, 초등교사 부부는 성격 5요인 중 성실성과 친화성 수준이 높았으며, 높은 결 혼 만족과 낮은 일-가정 갈등, 높은 문제 해결적 대처 경향을 보였다. 둘째, 남편과 아내의 결혼 만족, 일-가정 갈등 수준에는 차이가 없었으며, 성격 5요인 중 남편의 정서안정성과 아 내의 성실성이 높았고, 갈등 대처 방식 중 남편의 거리두기 대처와 아내의 문제해결적 대처 수준이 높았다. 셋째, 성격 5요인은 부부의 결혼 만족과 일-가정 갈등 및 대처에 영향을 미치 는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 성실성과 친화성, 정서안정성이 중요하게 기능함을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the Big Five personality traits, marital satisfaction, work-family conflict, and coping in primary school teacher couples. And we examine the influence of personality five factors on marital satisfaction, work-family conflict, and coping. For this purpose, a self-report questionnaire was administered to 50 married couples (50 husbands and 50 wives) of elementary school teachers raising young children. The data were analysed using IBM SPSS 29.0, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis was used to examine the effects of the five personality factors on marital satisfaction and work-family conflict and coping. The main findings of the study are as follows. First, according to the level analysis of each research variable, elementary school teacher couples showed high levels of conscientiousness and agreeableness among the Five Factor Personality, high marital satisfaction, low work-family conflict, and high problem-solving coping. Second, there was no difference in the level of marital satisfaction and work-family conflict between husbands and wives. But among the Five Factor Personality, husbands’ emotional stability and wives’ conscientiousness were higher, and husbands’ distancing coping and wives’ problem-solving coping were higher. Third, the five personality factors were found to influence couples’ marital satisfaction and work-family conflict and coping, especially conscientiousness, agreeableness, and emotional stability. Finally, the significance of this study and suggestions for further research are discussed.
