한국판 Piers-Harris 아동용 자아개념 검사 표준화 예비 연구 = A Preliminary Study for the Standardization of the Piers-Harris Children’s Self-Concept Scale

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 Piers-Harris 아동용 자아개념 검사 2판의 한국 표준화를 위한 기초 자료를 얻는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구에서는 척도 번역 및 역 번역 작업을 통해 기존의 검사 문항을 검토, 수정하였다. 서울의 3학년과 5학년인 초등학생 238명의 자료를 바탕으로 검사 문항의 신뢰도와 타당도를 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 검사의 신뢰도 검증을 위해 내적 일관성 신뢰도를 확인한 결과, 미국의 원척도와 유사하게 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 둘째, 검사의 타당도 검증과 관련하여 문항의 적절성에 대한 요인 분석 및 상호상관계수 분석을 실시한 결과, 높은 수준의 타당도를 나타냈다. 검사 결과의 성별에 따른 차이 분석도 제시되었다. 이를 통해 향후 연구에서는 전국 표본 수준으로의 검사로 확대하여 한국판 표준화 연구를 진행하고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to obtain the base data on the standardization of Korean version of the Piers-Harris Children’s Self-Concept Scale-Second Edition. The original scale was translated English to Korean, and than inappropriate items for Korean children were modified. Participants were 238 children who are third and fifth grader at five elementary schools in Seoul. The result of the study are as follow; First, as a result of the analysis of reliability, Cronbach’s α’s and inter-scorer reliability was showed a strong correlation. Second, the factor analysis and interscale correlation indicated the Korean version of the Piers-Harris 2 had good overall internal validity. Suggestions for future studies in developing Korean version of the Piers-Harris 2 were addressed.
