지역사회 재가노인의 낮은 건강정보이해능력으로 인한 낭패경험

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 지역사회 재가노인의 낮은 건강정보이해능력으로 인해 노인들이 느끼는 낭패의 경험을 깊이 이해하고자 수행되었다. 자료의 수집기간은 2022년 5월부터 6월까지 진행되었고, 10명의 지역사회 재가노인을 눈덩이 방법을 통해 표집 하였고, 현상학적 방법 중의 하나인 Colaizzi의 방법을 통해 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과 108개의 의미 있는 개념이 도출되었고, 5개의 주제모음과 12개의 주제가 확인되었다. 5개의 주제모음은 ‘그들만의 리그’, ‘나는 설명을 들어도 이해를 못하는 폐물’, ‘쭈그러드는 비참한 나’, ‘몸도 마음도 헌 것’, ‘내 몸은 내가 결정하고 싶음’으로 구성되었다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 지역사회 재가노인들의 보다 적절하고 편안한 의료기관서비스 이용을 위한 교육방법과 방안을 모색하고, 노인교육에 대한 통찰을 제공함으로써 향후 노인의 건강정보이해능력의 정도를 고려한 상담 및 교육을 개발하고 적용할 것을 제언한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was conducted for the in-depth understanding of the disappointing experiences of community home elderly caused by low health literacy. The data was collected from May to June 2022, and 10 elders were sampled using the snowball method. Colaizzis method, one of the phenomenological methods, was applied for the analysis. The results of the analysis derived 88 meaningful statements comprising 5 theme clusters and 12 themes. The five themes identified were A League of Their Own, Waste that cant understand even after explanations, Wretched and miserable me, Old thing, both body and mind, and Want to decide by myself. This study revealed the need to find educational methods for the elderly for more appropriate and comfortable use of medical institution services at home and in the local community. In addition, it is suggested to develop and apply counseling and education suitable for the elderlys ability to understand health literacy in the future by providing insights on education for the elderly.
