In the digital age, users are overwhelmed with information. As a solution to this issue, various industries are implementing services that preemptively provide users with useful information. This trend is also apparent in OTT services, where each service offers a recommendation system to help users choose content that suits their preferences. However, many users still struggle with content selection. Our study confirmed that a qualitative approach, rather than just technology, is necessary to improve the selection experience. We also emphasized the importance of user activity in the selection process and the impact of communication between users on content selection. Through interviews with OTT users and affinity diagram analysis, we have proposed a new selection experience based on user experiences and created prototypes for scenarios. And we verified it through Usability Test. We expect that this study positively contribute to increasing user satisfaction with the content selection process of OTT services.
