요양원에 입소한 치매노인 가족의 시설부양에 대한 만족도 관련 변인 연구 = Factors Related to Family Caregiver Satisfaction With the Nursing Home After Placement of a Elderly With Dementia

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 요양원에 입소한 치매노인 가족의 시설부양에 대한 만족도 관련 변인을 조사하여, 향후 시설 중심의 프로그램과 정책을 수립, 진행하는데 있어서 기초자료를 제시하고자 한다. 조사대상자는 무료, 실비, 유료 요양시설에 거주하고 있는 치매노인의 가족 230명이며, 치매노인 가족의 시설부양에 대한 만족도 관련 변인은 스트레스 과정 모델을 근거로 선정하였다. 자료 수집은 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 시설을 방문한 가족이 직접 응답 또는 요양원 직원의 설명에 의해 응답하도록 하였다. 본 연구 자료는 SPSS 14.0 프로그램을 통해 통계 처리되었다. 그 결과 치매노인의 기능 상태가 나쁘다고 여길수록 시설부양에 대한 만족도가 낮았으며, 시설환경 또는 프로그램이 치매노인에게 적합하다고 여길 때 시설부양에 대한 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 치매노인 요양시설은 향후 치매의 정도에 따른 차별화된 프로그램 또는 대처방안이 마련되어져야 할 것이다. 마지막으로 치매노인 부양에 따른 부담감이 가장 높을 때 최후의 대안으로 시설을 선택하는 것이 아니라, 치매노인이 거주하기에 시설이 좀 더 안전하고 적합한 곳이라는 시설에 대한 긍정적 인식이 자리 잡을 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to determine how much families whose elderly with dementia is admitted in nursing home feel satisfied at senior support services in nursing home, and examine possible variables associated with their satisfaction, so that it can provide basic materials to prepare and coordinate facility-based senior programs and policies in the future. The respondents were 230 family of dementia elderly residing in institutionalized elderly homes in Seoul etc. The data were analyzed by SPSS 14.0 program. Variables associated with their satisfaction at senior support services in nursing home were deduced on the basic of Stress Process Model. As a result, it was found that the worse symptoms of elders' dementia led to the lower satisfaction of their family. And it was found that our families showed higher satisfaction at senior support services in nursing home specialized in dementia treatment. Though it would need a distinctive strategy as measurement of dementia in the nursing home, and to separate other disease such as apoplexy from dementia, it should be needed to built a specialized nursing home that professionally cares only dementia, especially a dementia elderly. And last, nursing home is not the last choice that people (etc, caregiver) choose a nursing home when their responsibility for the dementia is the highest point, but, it is more important to recognize it to them that the place is more safety space for dementia elderly to live.
