청소년의 자살행동에 대한 생활스트레스 및 자기존중감의 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 우리나라 청소년들의 자살행동에 대한 생활스트레스와 자기존중감의 영향을 검토하였다. 조사대상자는 2004년 4월에 고등학교에 재학중인 남녀 청소년들이며, 521명의 자료에 대하여 기술통계, 선형회귀분석, 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다.<br/>
연구결과, 생활스트레스는 자살생각과 자살계획을 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 자기존중감은 생활스트레스로 인한 자살생각을 감소시키지만 자살계획은 감소시키지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 자살행동의 원인이 되는 생활 스트레스 요인을 규명하고, 자기 존중감의 기능을 확인함으로써 상담과 치료 프로그램 개발의 근거를 제공해 준다는 점에서 의의가 있다고 하겠다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigates the effects of life stress and self-esteemon suicidal behavior among korean adolescents. Subjects were male and female students who were attending high school in April 2004. Data from 521 adolescents was analyzed through descriptive statistics, linear regression and logistic regression, using the SPSS 11.5.<br/>
As a result, several findings were made. Life stress increases suicidal ideation and suicidal plans. Also, self-esteem decrease the suicidal ideation that was caused by life stress. While self-esteem does not decrease the suicidal plans. This study identifies the cause of adolescent suicidal behavior as life stress, and determines the effect of self-esteem on adolescent suicidal behavior, which offers a basis for the development of counseling and treatment programs for adolescents.
