경쟁 스포츠 참여시 고등학생의 스포츠맨십 실태 = Aspects of High School Students` Sportsmanship in Competitive Sports

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 경쟁 스포츠 참여시 스포츠맨십 발현 실태에 대해 교육적 문화 기술 방법을 통해 심층적으로 분석하는 것이다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 충청북도 청원군 소재의 실업계 고등학교 1학년 4명을 참여 관찰 대상자로 삼았으며,2001년 1학기 수업 기간을 집중 자료 수집 기간으로 선정하였다. 체육 수업 중 경쟁성을 극대화하기 위해 축구와 농구 종목을 대상으로 개작된 스포츠 교육 모형을 적용하였으며 참여관찰과 심층면담, 기록물 검토, VCR 촬영 등을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 질적 연구의 자료 분석 방법인 사례기록과 귀납적 범주 분석을 통해 분석하였으며 삼각검증법을 통해 자료의 신뢰성을 추구하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석 및 해석한 결과 경쟁 스포츠 참여시 고등학생의 스포츠맨십 발현 실태는 언어습관과 스포츠맨십 행동 양식으로 구분되어졌다. 참여 관찰 대상자들은 경쟁 스포츠 참여시 승리 지상주의에 지나치게 매몰되어 부정적 언어 습관을 나타내고 있었으며, 스포츠맨십 행동에 대한 의미와 가치,필요성에 대한 인식이 부재하였으며,자신의 이익과 관심의 추구에 매진하는 등 이기성에 기초한 자기 중심적 행동 특성을 나타냈다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyse how one recognizes sportsmanship while participating in highly competitive sports games through the method of educational enthnography. For this study, I chose four highschool first-year students from a vocational highschool located in Chungbuk as subjects. I decided to collect needed data intensively during the first semester in 2001. To intensify the competition, the applied sports teaching model for soccer and basketball was used. The data were collected by intensive interviews, observation, analysis for hand writings and VCR tapes. The collected data were analyzed by case recording and Inductive Category Analysis Method, and the credibility for the data was guaranteed by the Triangulation Along with the results of the analysis and interpretation of the collected data, I could discover that highschool students` Aspect of sportsmanship in competitive sport games can be divided into two aspects: their habits of language use and behavioral patterns of sportsmanship. The subjects showed very habits of negative language use due to their devotion for victory in a very competitive game. As a result, they did not seem to be aware of the significance, value, and meaning of genuine sportsmanship. Besides, they also showed certain egocentric behavioral characteristics, in which they just pursued their own benefits and interests based on egocentricity.
