‘다문화사회’와 『崧陽耆舊傳』 = "Muliticultural-Society" and Soongyang-Kigu-Jeon

국문 초록 (Abstract)

자본의 세계화로 인하여 노동자의 국경을 넘은 이주는 우리 현실에 다문화사회라는 화두를 전해주었다. 다문화사회는 이민이나 망명, 탈주나 추방, 사상적 교류나 토론 등으로 하나의 문화주체가 다른 문화주체와 어울리며 아름다운 공동체를 구성하리라는 기대를 갖는다. 이 이론의 핵심은 ‘異邦人’에 대한 탐구이다. 21세기 ‘다문화사회’ 현실 속에서 한문고전인 『숭양기구전(崧陽耆舊傳)』이 호명된 것도 ‘사람’에 대한 서사였기 때문이다. 『숭양기구전』은 조선후기 지식인인 김택영(金澤榮, 1985～1927)이 1885년, 조선시대 송도(개성)에 살았던 사람들에 대한 기록이다. 송도는 조선이 건국된 이후, 전 왕조의 수도였던 탓에 조선 내내 정치적 억압과 사회적 차별을 통해 주변화된 곳이었다. 송도인들은 아직 덜 조선화된 위험한 사람들로, 잇속 빠른 장사치로, 고토(故土)를 지키는 망국의 후예들로 집단적 타자화를 거쳐 이방인화된다. 그들에 대한 기록은 400여 년이 지나 김택영에 와서야 겨우 모아지게 되는 바, 그것이 『숭양기구전』이다. 김택영이 모아 놓은 송도인들은 비록 자신들의 존재를 강변하며 인정해달라고 하지만, 그들의 목소리는 여전히 주변화된 상태로 머물고 말았다. 그런 점에서 ‘다문화사회’를 거치고 있는 현재, 『숭양기구전』의 열독을 통하여 주변의 목소리가 동등하게 혼종(混種)될 것인가, 아니면 또다시 주류에 융입(融入)되고 말 것인가?에 대해 진지하게 재차 반추하게 된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

According to globalization of capital, the immigration beyond labor"s border gave us the issue of multi-cultural society. We look forward to seeing ideal community which one cultual group come together with another group and makes harmony in multi-cultural society The point of this theory is a study about "the stranger(異邦人)". Soongyang-Kigu-Jeon is a narration about "human". And that"s why we study Soongyang-Kigu-Jeon. Soongyang-Kigu-Jeon is the documentary literature which is talk about people who lived in Songdo(Gaesung) written by a intellectual Kim Taek Young(1890~1927) in the late of Chosun Dinasty. Since Cosun Diansty was established, Songdo was secluded area by politial pression and social discrimination during Cosuan Diansty because it was prior diansty"s capital. Songdo people became stranger. They were considered as not alrealy Chosan people-regarded dangerous people, as trader who undersood trap very well, as ruined country"s decent who keep their history. After more than 400 years, the record about these people could be complied by Kim Taek Young. They protested to be recognized. However, their voice still didn"t accepted. Songdo people"s failure make us to reconsider whether we should embrace other people or not.
