일제강점기 음악의 사회사 -신문,잡지(1910-1945)를 중심으로 = Social History of Music during the Japanese Colonial Period

The music is produced, circulated and accepted socially. It does hint that we have to understand music through political, social situation at that time. It is because that we can`t explain music properly in only aesthetic, stylelistic writing. Specially, the Chosen 朝鮮 of Japanese colonial period was pressed to accept modernization by Western Europe and colonization by Japan simultaneously. Therefore, the inner change of music has connection with political, social change of present generation fairly. Increasingly, the many problems of Korean music society are caused from that time. It is following that the pure music ideology, the music control due to a power, the music education which looks away consumer populace, the patriarchal womanism, the shortage of music theory out of center by the creation and performance. This is result caused from modernization process since 19th century. Namely, modernization process was Western capitalism expansion, Asia aggression of the powers, Orientalism for an aggression, establishment of modern Japan, the modernized Chos?n through the prism of Japan, Japanese Orientalism. Consequently, we need the evasion from modernism and colonialism for saving distorted Korean music society.
