포스트모던 사회에서 Dewey의 도덕개념과 도덕교육론 = A Study on Dewey's moral Concepts and Theory of Moral Education in Postmodern Society

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The postmodern society is a culturally pluralistic society. The cultural plurality gave rise to the value plurality. In other to live together with someone else who has a different sense of value, one has to have a new way of lifestyle and an education should support it as well. Moral education of postmodern society should minimize the troubles created by various cultures and different values, and should contribute to pursuit such a society that everyone feels happy of coexist based on the mutual understanding and cooperation. Such moral education means the practical education through the whole communal life of school field. That is, the moral education is possible with a whole and every curriculum of school. The first scholar asserted such moral education is John Dewey. Dewey interpreted the moral as a term and power of a communal life and as an impulse and custom of an individual. In other words the principles of moral inherit in the communal life, and in the partial structure of individual. What we need is not the knowledge of moral itself but the will of practice and ability. Therefore the principles of moral must be recognized as practical act. Accordingly at this time point in postmodern society, it is thought that an educational discussion of the Dewey's moral concept has a significant meaning to the development of our moral and finally will discuss a meaning of Dewey's theory of moral education in the postmodern society.
