사진, 매체, 그리고 아우라의 변형 = Photography, Media, and Transformation of Aura : Digital Photography and Digital Aura

국문 초록 (Abstract)

벤야민의 아우라 붕괴는 예술의 가치변화를 가져왔다. 예술이 전통적 기능으로서 종교의식에 종사했다면 아우라가 붕괴된 예술작품은 숭배의 대상이 아니라 즐김의 대상으로 변화하면서 대중예술에 대한 다양한 논의가 시작되었다. 또한 아우라는 다양한 매체와 결합하면서 인간의 지각방식을 변화시켰다. 매체에 반복적으로 복제되면서 아우라는 붕괴되는 것이 아니라 오히려 새로운 모습으로 변형되어 나타나게 된다. 특히 디지털아우라는 디지털매체에 의해 복제(매개)되었을 때 나타나는 경험효과이며, 디지털매체의 반복된 복제를 통한 일회적 몰입경험이다. 이러한 아우라의 변형은 사진의 변형을 동반하고 있다. 디지털매체에 의한 복제가 보편화되고, 매체의 발달이 가져온 인간의 지각변화는 사진을 바라보는 시각의 근본적인 재고를 요청하며 사진의 정체성을 위협하고 있다. 동시에 사진이 과거의 기술복제시대에서 현재의 디지털매체 시대로 이동하는데 따른 ‘사진 이후의 사진’의 정체성과 그 변화과정을 모색하고, 사진적 리얼리티를 새롭게 인식시키는 계기를 제공하고 있다. 결국 디지털 사진의 조작능력과 복제능력은 오히려 매체의 정보전달과 상호소통을 가능하게 하는 가장 효과적인 도구가 될 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Benjamin"s collapses of aura brought the value change of art. If the art as traditional function engaged to a religious ceremony, the work of art where aura collapses the object of worship knew enjoying and changed in the object and the discussion which is various was started in about popular art. Also aura combines and with media where it is various it changes the perception method of the human being. it makes It is reproduced repetitively in media and aura is not the fact that it becomes collapses. The transformation―original characteristic, aesthetic sympathy, perception experience, the sign, atmosphere, effect and charisma, simulacres etc.― it becomes with rather new features and it makes appear. Specially digital aura in compliance with a digital media when being reproduced(mediated), are the experience effect which appears, a one-time immersion experience which leads the reproduction which digital media is repeated they are. Also the objecthood of the object compared to does a ticket as a matter of characteristic in the center, it is a result of the desire which is spontaneous interaction the object and subject in base.
Like this transformation of aura is accompanying transformation of photography. The reproduction in compliance with a namely digital media is generalized, the perception change of the human being which media advancement bring photography identity requests the stock which the time when it sees photography is basic and it threatens. That it is like that, it hopes the return with of the analog photography which is traditional and the fact that it does not emphasize. That compared to photography moves with the digital media time of present time from technical reproductive time of past is it gropes ‘post-photography’ identity which it follows and the change process it provides the opportunity which photographic reality newly, recognizes and it makes. Until now photography where it records the world it understands the world being a fine means, it will not be able to negate. From like that point the digital photography also the operability and reproductive ability of the thing which will bear a new gain and loss format and the digital photography rather media information transmission and trade name being understood possibly most it does will become the tool which is effective in about one time world.
