As of 1980, the relative importance of horticultural products in comparison with other agricultural products, has shown a rising trend. But recent studies has shown that consumption pattern has decreasing in floricultural industry.
This study was carried out to provide behavioral data of the user's motivation of university students for ornamental plant industry. As a result from factor analysis, their motivations were categorized into tree factor groups: 'self-centeredness', 'others-centeredness', and 'social interactional centeredness'. In respect to technology improvement and governmental policy for consumer marketing will be established effectively.
