야외 조형물에 나타난 스테인드글라스에 관한 연구 = A Study of Stained Glass in Outdoor Sculpture

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This dissertation examines stained glass in free-standing architecture and outdoor sculpture. Stained glass originated and developed as an architectural art in medieval religious art, and in modern times, the scope of its acceptance has expanded to general architecture and public art. Therefore, when applied as an outdoor sculpture in public spaces, modern stained glass can be expected to interact with the public beyond its religious scope. In addition, outdoor sculptures are an important part of the urban environment and public space, and if stained glass is utilized as light art away from the window, it can be expected to exist as spatial art and create visual effects during the day and night. The purpose of this study is to explore the public functions of stained glass outdoor sculptures and to reveal the possibilities of stained glass outdoor sculptures as public facilities through case studies in Europe and overseas.
