웹 기반 강좌에서 학습자의 온라인 토론 참여도에 영향을 미치는 요인 = Factors Influencing Learner Participation in Web-based Online Discussion

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purposes of this study are: (1) to analyse the relationships between learner participation and educational results/participating motivations in online discussion; and (2) to investigate significant factors influencing learner participation in online discussion among characteristics of learners, teachers, peer learners, and technical environment. The survey questionnaire was used to collect data from the students. The data were analysed with logistic regression analyses and chi-square statistics. The study results show that: (1) overall, learners perceived that they actively participated in the environment of online discussion using strategies to promote interactions; (2) the learner participation had significantly associations not only with four factors among 8 educational results, but also with three factors among 6 motivations; and (3) learner`s self-regulated competency and social ability significantly contributed to the prediction of learner participation in online discussion.
