대도시 단독가구 여자노인의 생활실태 및 욕구 - 가족 · 소비 · 주거 생활을 중심으로 -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the actual family interaction, consumer problem, housing life and the needs. The subjectives of this study were 221 elderly women who live alone or with spouse in Seoul and Pusan. A survey was conducted using interview. Statistical analyses were conducted using frequencies, percentage, mean, Χ² and oneway ANOVA. The major findings were as follows : 1. Family life : Elderly women tended to have continous and close relationship with their children, but they wanted to have closer relationship. And among 8 independent variables, the reason for forming elderly women household and perceived financial deficiency were more related to the dependent variables. 2. Consumer life : The level of life needs is higher than the level of actual life according to financial strain and consumer purchase problem. Those problems need to be improved in the consumer market circumstances. Information source of buying goods and services was dominant on personal experience. 3. Housing life : Subjects tended to live in relatively good housing. But they had the higher housing needs than this, and though they wanted to live in the planned elderly housing, they wanted to live with their eldest son within relatively near distance.
