사회과 디지털콘텐츠의 한계와 가능성 -사이버 가정학습 분석을 중심으로- = The Limit and the possibility of Digital Content in Social Studies

Basing on search of theoretical dimension about the limit and possibility of digital content for social studies, this research analyze digital content and search the possibility. First, for analysis about what social studies` digital content is suitable on essence of social studies, in background of knowledge`s variability and multivalence, it explores teaching material construction strategy based on Spiro`s cognitive flexibility theory and Csikszentmihalyi`s flow. As principles of selection and building for Social studies` digital content, this research has extracted contextual knowledge construction, mutual relationship, and psycholization in dimension of knowledge`s composition, also process based on inquiry and discovery, interactivity, and knowledge productive activity in dimension of learning. As analysis result, Social studies` digital content looks like Pandora`s box that has the limit and the possibility all. According to digital content composition principles, Two controversial points were detected to digital content. First, because of focusing on concept, active learning is insufficient and acquisition of concept is operated as core of content building. Second, Because of focussing on designing in educational technology, the design strategy of inherent social studies as a subject matter is lack. It is the problem that rolls as a researcher on social studies and a designer on educational technology are compartmentalized. This problem can be solved through subject matter based convergence of bilateral camp. Establishment of suitable design strategy for the speciality and goal of social studies is very important and urgent.
