정신박약아를 위한 기능적인 의복 연구 = A Study on the Functional Clothing for Feebleminded Children

This study was carried out to find the present condition of clothing life and functional clothing for the feebleminded children.
The data for this study were collected from 36 nurses who were employed by the Holt Welfare Town in Ilsan. This study was done during April through November, 1984.
The results of this study were as follows:
1. The garments preferred by the boys were T­shirts, long trousers and short pants, while that preferred by the girls was one­piece dress.
2. The convenience of dressing and undressing in clothing life was required because it was necessary to help the children dress and undress.
3. A convenient clothing was required for playing; Half front opening or front opening of an upper garment, round or V­neck collars and cuffsless or elastic corded cuffs were desirable. Front opening of pants was desirable. Some necessary attachments for convenient clothing were zipper, snap, big button and velcro. Articles required for dressing were vinyled pinafore and diaper.
It is necessary to make and distribute clothing for feebleminded children which is functional and at the same time easy to wear and take off. And it is necessary to guide the children to dress and undress for the sake of themselves.
