청소년의 성 행동 실태와 성에 대한 의식 분석: 초등학생이 포함된 청소년을 연구대상으로 = An Analysis of Current Status of Sexual Behaviors and Consciousness about Sex of Adolescents: on Adolescents Including Elementary School Students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 초등학생을 포함한 청소년의 성 행동 실태를 탐색하고 성 의식에 영향을 미치는 보호요인과 위험요인을 선별한 후 이를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해서 전남, 광주지역에 거주하는 초, 중, 고등학생 470명을 대상으로 청소년의 성 실태를 탐색한 결과 응답자의 47%가 평균 14세에 이성 교제를 실시하는 것으로 조사 되었으며 이중 71%가 스킨쉽을 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 18%가 성 관계 경험을 했다고 보고했으며 5%는 성 폭력 피해경험, 1.9%는 성 폭력 가해경험이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 성 의식에 영향을 미치는 보호요인과 위험요인에 대한 분석결과를 살펴보면 비행친구 접촉변인과 사이버 성 비행변인이 청소년의 건강한 성 의식을 저해하는 것으로 조사되었고 비행친구 접촉이 높을수록 순결의식이 감소되나 학교적응 수준이 높을수록 순결의식은 보호받는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 부모애착요인은 청소년들의 성 의식에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 조사되었다. 초등학교 고학년 이후 부모의 영향력이 줄어들고 상대적으로 또래들의 성규범과 기준에 더 많은 영향을 받고 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 건강한 성 가치관을 형성하기 위해서는 또래들과 함께 할 수 있는 성 교육 집단활동 프로그램 등이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to identify the sexual behaviors of adolescents including elementary, middle, and high school students and to select protective and risk factors affecting their sexual consciousness for verification. According to the results of the study in which 470 elementary, middle, and high school students living in Jeollanam-do and Gwangju were the subjects for the research on sexual state of adolescents, 47% of the subjects were investigated to begin their relationships with the opposite sex at the age of 14 (in average) and among them 71% were shown to do skinship. Also, 18% of them were reported to experience sexual relations, 5% suffered sexual assaults, and 1.9% did sexual assaults. In the results of the analysis of protection and risk factors affecting sexual consciousness, variable of contacts with juvenile delinquents as friends and variable of contacts with sexual misdeeds on the Internet were shown to hinder healthy sexual development of adolescents: their chastity consciousness reduced more when the levels of contacts with juvenile delinquents as friends and contacts with sexual misdeeds on the Internet were higher. As for the protective factors, variable of pro-sociality had statistically significant effect while factor of affection with parents did not affect positively the sexual consciousness of adolescents. Because adolescents are affected more by the sexual norms and criteria of their peer than by influences of their parents, programs for group sexual education with peers may be needed in order for adolescents to have healthy values on sex.
