테스트 자동화를 위한 다구치 기법 소프트웨어 테스트케이스 생성 방안에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Generation of Software Test Case Using Taguchi Method for Test Automation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

소프트웨어의 발달에 따라 소프트웨어로 제품의 품질이나 특성을 테스트하는 것이 중요해지고 있다. 이러한 제품이나 소프트웨어를 테스트 하기위해서 자동화 테스트를 도입하여 품질평가를 진행하는데 자동화 테스트에서 가장중요하게 여겨지는 것이 테스트를 어떻게 진행하여 어떠한 결함을 발견해 내고 그 결함을 어떻게 해결 하는 것 인가가 가장 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 자동화 테스트를 진행하기 위해서는 테스트 케이스라는 품질평가 테스트 항목을 들 수 있는데 본 논문에서는 이 테스트 케이스를 합리적이고 효과적으로 생성할 수 있는 다구치 기법 (Taguchi Method) 을 제안하고자 한다.
테스트 케이스 생성기법 중 가장 완벽한 품질을 생성하는 기법은 완전요인 배치기법을 들 수 있다. 허나 이 기법은 테스트 인자와 수준 수 에 따라서 제곱으로 생성수가 증가하기 때문에 시간적이나 비용 적으로 사용하기 힘들어지게 된다. 인자수와 수준 수 가 적당한 수준에서는 최고의 효과를 볼 수 있으나 그 수가 늘어나면 늘어날수록 테스트 시간이 그에 비례하여 기하급수적으로 증가할 수밖에 없으므로 이러한 문제점을 대체하고자 품질공학에서 다뤄지고 있는 다구치 기법을 이용하여 테스트 케이스를 생성하는 방안에 대해서 제안을 하고자한다.
다구치 기법은 품질공학에서 오래전부터 유용하게 사용되어오던 기법으로써 적은 실험횟수로 완전조합 기법에 준하는 테스트 결과를 낼 수 있는 방법이다. 이 실험법을 이용하여 테스트 케이스를 작성한다면 시간적이나 비용 적으로 많은 효과를 볼 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As the development of software, it has been important to test the quality or properties of software products. In order to test such products or software, automation test is introduced to evaluate the qualities and during the process, it may be considered the most important factors how the test is performed to find defects and how to solve the problems. In order to conduct the automation test, while, a test case, a quality test item, can be addressed, in this study, Taguchi Method is suggested in order to generate the test case rationally and effectively.
Perfect factorial design technique can be considered to generate the most perfect quality in test case generation techniques. However, since this technique raises the numbers generated to the second power according to the number of factors and levels, it becomes difficult to use with regard to time and cost. Although the maximum effect can be expected in the appropriate levels of the number of factors and levels, the test time increases exponentially. In order to alternate the issues, this study suggests the method to generate test case by using Taguchi Method applied in quality engineering.
As Taguchi Method is a technique that has been long used in quality engineering, it can draw the consequency of test equivalent to a perfect design technique with small number of experiment times. If this experiment method is applied to generate test case, it can save lots of time and expenditure.
