    The purpose of this study was to examine education section of Korean newspaper in terms of constructing its contents and problems. A content analysis was conducted for the education section of 4 nationwide newspapers, considering articles, reporters, diversity of sources, PR writings, relationship between newspaper and advertiser. Obviously, the contents of education section were skewed toward learning class, English, college, and studying overseas. Writers and sources were more the persons concerned from private institutions than school teachers. Difference among newspapers was Chosun, Chungang, and Donga have bigger portion of English and studying overseas, while Hangurae has bigger potion of college than other contents. Some overlapping relationships were found between major contents providers and advertisers of education section.
