A successful hosting of the G20 Summit and the 2nd Nuclear Security Summit will provide an opportunity to boost our country's standing. The security of the airport and aircraft used by the head of each state, highranking officials and journalists will lay the foundation for the successful hosting of the great international events. In fact, however, growing demand for flight is highly likely to provoke terror against airports and aircraft in the current 21st century, and there will definitely be a continuing severe threat in the future as well. So the importance of security checks is increasingly stressed, which are preventive and counter-terrorism activities.
The airport police was the first government agency to launch airport security checks in our country. Being involved in security checks by the law, the airport police should make the following efforts to tighten security checks:
First, the missions of the airport police are the implementation of counter-terrorism activities, law enforcement as a means to ensure national authority for punishment, and the complement of security checks led by private companies.
Second, the airport police should apply the same level of security checks to the resident staff as well as ordinary passengers. To make it happen, the police should put the matter on the agenda of the airport security council and keep it under control to ensure successful security checks.
Third, the capabilities of police officers deployed at the checkpoint should be bolstered. They should continue to get education and on-the- job training on how to operate the equipment of security checks involving X-ray.
