한국어의 불평등한 언어문화에 관한 연구 -방송 언어를 대상으로- = The Study about the Unfair Korean Language Culture -Intended for Broadcast Language-

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study has an object that intends to change the social attitude and recognition, on the ground of investigating and indicating the unfair language expressions to the specific society group or individual, about the broadcast language in television. We worked with the conversation of the performers in television broadcast programs in order to collecting the instances about using unfair words. We examined the conversation of the performers in the broadcasts corresponded to 149 programs, 714 times of 6 television broadcasting channel; KBS1, KBS2, MBC, SBS, EBS, YTN. We collected and analyzed the unfair language expressions to the specific society group or individual among the conversation of the performers. We examined 2,146 instances. The results were classified according to subjects such as sexual inequality, identity about sex, physical character, race, nationality and region, occupation, and social position, etc. The contents classified according to subjects are divided into the case that it is possible that we make a counterproposal for application and the case that it makes problems or it is unnecessary. In the case that it is possible that we make a counterproposal for application, we should suggest a counterproposal about the expression and encourage it. Most of the expressions about sexual discrimination come under this case. In the case that it makes problems or it is unnecessary, we can suggest not using it. Thanks to our study like investigation of using unfair language expression in broadcast, we expect that we TV viewer and people concerned broadcasting together have the critical mind and labor for using fair words, besides it become a chance to convert our consciousness.
