국문 초록 (Abstract)

전통지식은 ‘이전 세대로부터 문화적 관습을 통해 전승받거나, 개인의 경험을 통해서 획득한 자연과 사회에 대한 지식’이다. 전통적으로 계승되어 온 모든 지식을 포함한다.
2001년부터 ‘세계지식재산권기구(WIPO)’의 정부간 위원회를 중심으로 각 국가 전통지식의 국제적 보호에 관한 논의를 진행하고 있다. 우리나라에서도 특허청을 중심으로 전통지식DB 구축을 진행하고 있으며, 2007년부터 정보검색서비스를 시작하였다.
이러한 국내외적인 분위기 속에서 강원대학교 사회과학연구원 강원산촌문화연구센터에서는 한국연구재단의 지원을 받아, 2014년 9월부터 2017년 8월까지 강원도 18개 시․군 95개 마을을 대상으로 현지조사를 통해 습득한 전통지식을 DB로 구축하였다.
‘강원 산간마을 전통지식 DB'에는 조사한 전통지식을 만물을 주재하고 구성하는 요소인 ‘천지인(天地人)’을 토대로 13개 주제로 분류해서 수록하였다. ‘천(天)’에는 산림, 기후, 놀이, 신앙, ‘지(地)’에는 농업, 가축, 채집, 사냥, ‘인(人)’에는 민간요법, 의생활, 식생활, 주생활, 의례관련 전통지식을 포함하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Traditional knowledge is 'knowledge about nature and society inherited from traditional customs of previous generations and gained through personal experiences'. It includes all traditionally transmitted system of knowledge.
Since 2001, a discussion for the international protection of traditional knowledge has been going on by the intergovernmental committees of ‘World Intellectual Property Organization(WIPO).’ In Korea, traditional knowledge database is now under construction at the initiative of ‘the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO)’, and the information retrieval service has been started in 2007.
Amid these internal and external atmospheres, Research Center for Kangwon Mountainous Culture, Institute of Social Science in Kangwon National University, has collected traditional knowledges of 95 villages in 18 cities of Kangwon-do from September 2014 to August 2017 and arranged them into a database with the support of National Research Foundation of Korea.
In the 'DB for Traditional Knowledge of Kangwon Mountainous Village', we classified collected date into 13 subjects based on '천지인(天地人, Cheon-Ji-In)' which are the elements that preside and constitute all creatures.
