박완서 소설에 나타난 여성적 사랑의 의미 = Feminine Love in Park Wan-seo`s Novels

This thesis examined Park Wan-seo`s novels in relation to feminine love. The heroines of her novels suffer pain because of their justification for existence. Their drive of justification for existence is expressed through desire of love. Thus, the desire of love in Park Wan-seo`s novels is very important in respect that the heroines of her novels expresses their justification for existence. And the desire of love in her novels is the desire to be liberated from alienation in society. This thesis examined three kind of Park Wan-seo`s novels in relation to that problem. First, Crying of the Earthwormand The same Rooms reveal impossibility of love through women in middle class. They express the drudgery of home and the alienation in society. Second, Black Widowreveals the potential of love through woman in the lower classes. This novel expresses the potential of feminine love and possibility of jouissance in the Real. Third, For Longingreveals the desire of love positively through old women. This novel represents the meaning of feminine love. In the end, These novels reveal that the desire of feminine love is most important for woman`s justification for existence in Park Wan-seo`s novels.
