In this paper, a visual occlusion system was developed by using an industrial Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) module, and it was applied for training of badminton players to increase performance of visual perception. The developed system consisted of the LCD module, main controller and wireless remote controller. The LCD module controls transmissivity of the light according to the main controller, and the main controller can control turn on time and holding time. The turn on time is a point of time that the LCD module closes light, and the holding time is the duration which maintains the state of the LCD module. Each time can be set manually from 0.000 to 9.999 seconds with 0.001 second unit. External control signal, which is linked to the main controller, also can be used to control the LCD module through Transistor to Transistor Logic (TTL) level that is a common signal level among electrical sensors or instruments. Therefore, the LCD module can be connected to many devices that could be needed various experiments. The wireless remote controller connects the LCD module and the main controller without wires to increase mobility of the player. It consists of a receiver and a transmitter, and the size of receiver is as small as a cellular phone. Therefore, the player can move freely without restriction of a device.
