문묘일무 무보해(舞譜解) 동작의 형식을 활용한 춤사위 분석체계 연구 = A Study on Analysis System on Dance Moves by Applying Munmyoilmu Demonstrative Illustrations

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 문묘일무 춤사위의 분석체계를 제안하고자 한다. 이에 『국학예악록(國學禮樂錄)』과 『성문악지(聖門樂誌)』에 전하는 문묘일무보(文廟佾舞譜) 무보해(舞譜解) 동작의 형식을 분석하고 이를 활용하여 문묘일무 춤사위 분석의 체계를 표형식의 분석틀로 제안하였다.『국학예악록(國學禮樂錄)』과 『성문악지(聖門樂誌)』에 전하는 문묘일무보(文廟佾舞譜) 무보해(舞譜解)에는 입지용(立之容), 무지용(舞之容), 수지용(首之容), 신지용(身之容), 수지용(手之容), 보지용(步之容), 족지용(足之容), 예지용(禮之容), 무구동작(舞具動作)을 전하고 있다. 그리고 이들 아홉 가지의 용어에는 하위 범주에 해당하는 동작들이 명칭과 술어로 상세히 기록되어있다. 본 연구는 이 아홉 가지의 동작군을 각기 분석하여 개별 동작군의 특징을 규명하였다. 그리고 이 동작군들을 크게 공간구성형식, 신체운동형식, 무구조작형식, 표현형식으로 나누었다. 이상과 같은 무보해 동작의 네 가지 형식은 문묘일무의 춤사위를 구조적으로 바라볼 수 있는 시각을 제공해 주고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 문묘일무보 춤사위 분석의 대안으로 무보해 동작의 형식을 활용할 것을 제안하고자 한다. 동작의 형식은 각 동작의 운동자체를 술어로서 양식화하고 있어 동작 명칭을 움직임의 기호로 인식 할 수 있다. 무보해 동작의 형식에서 보여주듯이 무보해는 동작의 방향, 신체의 움직임, 무구의 움직임 등과 동작의 의미구조를 언어적 기호로 선택하고 있다. 또한 문묘일무가 갖는 시간적구조가 일자일음일무(一字一音一舞)라는 특성을 갖고 있는 점에 착안하여 표형식의 분석틀을 문묘일무 춤사위 분석체계로 제시하였다. 표형식의 문묘일무 춤사위 분석틀은 수직의 칸에 무보의 체계를 순차적으로 기술하고, 수평의 칸에 분석하고자 하는 춤사위의 내용을 기술할 수 있다. 수직의 칸에 기술된 문묘일무 춤사위 분석 체계를 맨 위 칸부터 순차적으로 설명하면 ‘문묘일무보 도본(圖本)의 춤사위그림⇨악장(樂章)⇨춤사위 술어⇨무보해 동작의 공간형식⇨무보해 동작의 신체형식⇨무보해 동작의 무구형식⇨무보해 동작의 표현형식’으로 기술할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study intends to suggest an analysis system on dance moves of Munmyoilmu. Forms of movements passed down by Munmyoilmubo demonstrative illustrations in Kukhakyeakrok and Seongmunakji are analyzed and by utilizing this, the analysis system of dance moves in Munmyoilmu is presented as an analytic frame with a table form. Munmyoilmubo demonstrative illustrations in Kukhakyeakrok and Seongmunakji introduce Ipjiyong (types of motions within standing), Mujiyong (types of motions within dancing), Sujiyong (head motion types), Shinjiyong (body motion types), Sujiyong (hands motion types), Bojiyong (types of motions within walking), Jokjiyong (feet motion types), Yejiyong (manners in types of motions) and Mugujiyong (movements performed with the instruments). These 9 terminologies describe movements which are classified into subcategories in detail with their names and technical terms. This study investigates features in each of the 9 groups by analyzing every group of terminologies respectively. These groups of movements are roughly divided into forms of space organization, physical activities, instruments operation and expressions. Aforementioned four forms of demonstrative illustrations can provide perspectives that enable to see dance moves of Munmyoilmu structurally. This study, therefore, suggests utilizing movement forms of demonstrative illustrations as an alternative to analyze dance moves of Munmyoilmubo. Since forms of movements stylize each movement's physical activities as technical terms, it is able to recognize names of movements as signals of activities. As seen in movement forms of demonstrative illustrations, the illustrations adopt direction of movements, physical movements, movements of instruments and meaning structure of movements as linguistic signals. In addition, temporal structure which Munmyoilmu has is characterized by one-letter, one-note, one-movement so the analytic frame with a table form is presented as the analysis system on dance moves in Munmyoilmu. The system of dance notation and contents of dance moves to be analyzed can be vertically and horizontally described within the table respectively. To explain the analysis system on dance moves of Munmyoilmu which is written in columns of the table from the top to the bottom stage by stage, it can be demonstrated as; (i) illustrations for dance moves in Munmyoilmubo drawings, (ii) Akjang (music composed in early Chosun Dynasty for official events), (iii) technical terms in dance moves, (iv) space forms of movements in demonstrative illustrations, (v) physical forms of movements in demonstrative illustrations, (vi) instrument forms of movements in demonstrative illustrations and (vii) expression forms of movements in demonstrative illustrations.
