The Korean literature of wartime in 1950's had the remarkably dynamic features in accordance with the characteristics of refuge literary circles. Especially, the continuous literary practice couldn't be copied because of the frequent coming and going of the literary people. Like that, the experience of media publication on children's literature which was established in Gyeongnam·Busan from the formation of refuge literary circles was unique. Actually, it couldn't be to overstate that the Korean literature of wartime was the literature in Gyeongnam-Busan. This study seeks to survey the meaning of children's literature in Gyeongnam-Busan through defining the contemporary status and characteristics of children's literature, focusing on Youth World, Children's Digest, and Bluebird which were published in 1950s.
Youth World was the general children's magazine which was supervised by Lee, Weon-Su and published in refuge district, Daegu, July, 1952. This magazine had the feature of pure literary art which advocated the children's temperature. But this had the popularity by preparing the communicative structure in culture and living section.
The fact that Youth World was published by the supervision of Lee, Weon-Su calls for the attention from two aspects. Above all, we can presume how strong his literary power affected the media of children's literature from the fact that he was the literary person from Gyeongnam district and the external pen club who were acquainted with him were participated. And the fact that he chose the district, Daegu, where the right-wing children's literature already bloomed guaranteed that he paid off the original sin of the past and secured his own literary location. The characteristics of angelic children's mind which he showed in his children's literature pacified the left-wing features which was his personality before the Korean War and contributed to the security of his literary location as well.
Children's Digest was the general children's magazine which imitated Reader's Digest of Korean version which attracted the public, and this was published first in Busan, 1952 and discontinued in about 1 year. The fact that Kang, So-Cheon superintended this media publication meant that this had the dominant feature of Christian view of the world. And the external literary club participated the publication of this magazine. Kang, So-Cheon intended to publish the magazined like Children's Life, but his intent wasn't fully realized, the reasons of which was caused from the fact that this magazine was stopped at 14th number and the social situation that this was published under the war was great burden. affected 14. But afterward, this contributed to the foundation of children's literature in Kyeongnam·Busan.
Bluebird was the general children's magazine which was publish September, 1952. This magazine which was supervised by Kim, Yong-Ho was published under the educational intention on the basis of edification and current topics. The value of Bluebird, above all, was that this independently practiced the role of children's literature within the refuge literary circles through the hands of district literary people, such as Kim, Yong-Ho and Son, Dong-In. Of course, Bluebird didn't fully recover the humble location of children's literature in the refuge literary circles, but operated as the foundation of children's literature in Kyeongnam·Busan where the literary people like Choe, Gye-Rak fully bloomed the children's literature afterward. Especially, Bluebird had the new meaning of the history of children's literature in that this magazine was the kind of the media movement of children's literature as the confrontation way of district literature in the wartime.
The marked reason of children's literature in the wartime is that the literary people published the media, being interested in 'children' who would lead the history of the future in spite of the historically difficult period like war. When we c
