통일코리아의 미래기획: 비전, 현실, 대안 = Planning the future of a unified Korea: Vision, Reality, Alternative

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Unification is not just an extension of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), but a huge national reform process of forming a new national identity. Korea has a vision of the unified nation as a country to become the fifth developed one in the world, and believes that unification is the powerful future strategy to reduce the cost of division, which is mostly invisible, as well as to produce much economic benefit. However, there will be a serious national identity crisis in the process of unifying the two Koreas, because there have been no serious dialogues or exchanges in discussing such issues as an integration of identities of both ROK and DPRK. In this sense, this paper attempts to explore and create a unified Korea from the perspective of three demensions of peace, that is, peace-keeping, peace-making, and peace-building, which needs creativity and imagination to integrate historical and ethnical and national identity of ROK and DPRK.
