The aims of this study are to reexamine the future ideal status of the exterior environment, to examine the ideal status of the site and garden size, and to utilize the result of the possibility of this study in creating more ideal Environment of exterior space in detachment houses. The scope and method of this study are as fallows.
1. This study is based on the Perception/Cognitive/Motivation of psychology in architecture.
2. The environmental attributes through the application of bipolar sementic scale and factor analysis are focused on.
The results of this study are as follows;
1. The emotional cognition is more variable than the cognitions of space organization factors.
2. The hosts of variables are nearly the same weighted values in cognitive maps, on the other hand the site and garden are the most correlated factors.
3. Major dwellers expect the ideal sites to be more than 495㎡~660㎡, and the ideal garden sizes to be more than 132㎡~165㎡, (Building coverage is 30 percent).
