광주지구의 (光州地區) 상수자원의 (上水資源) 이화학적 (理化學的) 조사 = Physical and Chemical studies on head water of water works in Kwang Ju region

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The head water of 4 water works in Kwang Ju area has not yet been studied on its pollution. The Auther, therefore, set to the works inquiring out the interrelationship between the environment and the pollution of the head water along their streams by means of physical and chemical examination of their water quality and observation of their environment during Summer season from July to August in 1971. The results are as follows. In all vallys pH, DO and BOD value showed an increasing tendency along their streams from upper to lower site. Nearly all site of 3rd and the lower site of all valleys, especially adjacent to the resorts, were so much polluted by NH₃-N, B. Coli and General Bacterial Number as to exceed the standard value of judgement of drinking water. The order, 3rd> 4th> 2nd> 1st, shows the pollution degree of their head water by NH₃-N, B. Coli and General Bacterial Number contents in all reservoirs and it was found out that the increase in pollution quantity of the all head water has close relation with their environment, showing more increasing tendency further on account of their environment.
