      다문화적 창의성 연구의 이론적 토대와 핵심 요인 = Theoretical foundations and the variables for studying multicultural creativity

      Since the concepts and theories of creativity shifted from individual to collective perspectives, recently more researchers are committed to investigate how multicultural experiences might influence the development of creativity recently. This paper aims to establish the theoretical basis of the notion, multicultural creativity and discusses on relevant variables regarding it. To do this, this paper, first of all, reviews how the characteristics of creativity have been developed as they are now and how the perspective on creativity has been shifting from individual to collective one. Second, this paper proposes the theoretical basis of multicultural creativity from the sociocultural and cognitive approaches and discusses how multicultural experiences contribute to facilitate creativity. Finally, this paper suggests four kernel variable of studying multicultural creativity – i.e., motivational, formative, conditional, and measuring – and discusses how these variables can be used in following research on multicultural creativity. The discussion of this paper will provide a platform for researching on multicultural creativity in the future.

      최근 다문화적 창의성에 대한 사회와 학계의 관심이 커짐에도 불구하고, 이 주제에 대한 연구는 체계화되어 있지 못한 상황이다. 본고는 이러한 문제점에 대한 인식을 바탕으로 다문화적 창의성을 개념화하고, 이를 위한 연구의 이론적 토대와 관련된 변인들에 대해 논의하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본고는 첫째, 현재의 창의성의 개념이 어떤 변천과정을 거쳐서 개념화되어 왔는지를 정리해보고, 최근 창의성 연구의 패러다임이 어떻게 변화하고 있는지 논의하고자 한다. 둘째, 다문화적 창의성의 이론적 토대를 사회문화적 접근과 인지적 접근 두 가지 차원에서 분석하고, 다문화적 경험과 창의성 간의 관련성에 대해 논의하고자 한다. 마지막으로, 다문화적 창의성을 보다 구체적으로 연구하기 위한 네 가지 핵심 요인-을 촉발 요인, 형성 요인, 조건 요인, 측정 요인-을 제시하고, 각각의 요인들이 어떻게 다문화적 창의성을 체계적으로 연구할 수 있는지를 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구의 논의는 다문화적 창의성의 개념과 그와 관련된 세부적인 요인들을 제시함으로써, 다문화적 창의성이 향후 창의성 연구의 중요한 축이 되는데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
