Because of the marked beneficial effect of corticosteroids in intractable asthma, it is too often prescribed continuously in some patients who would be otherwsie disable, but it causes serious systemic side reactions without exception. So to mininize or avoid the to xicity from daily use of or alpreparations, intermittent therapy and alternate day therapy were introduced, and the rerent advent of cotcosteroids in aerosol form, beclomethasone dipropionate, brought significant adv ance in asthma therapy. This rep ort de als with 2 storeid-dependent athma patients with classical features of Iatiogenic Cushings syndrom and their successive course of with- drawal.
