파동(波動) 이미지를 형상화한 장신구 조형 연구 = (A) study of the ornaments representing the image of wave

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리 주변에서 일어나는 자연현상은 인간의 의지나 시간과 공간에 구애됨이 없이 끊임없이 변화하고 있다.
파동현상 또한 주변에서 자주 경험하는 친근한 자연현상중의 하나이며 출렁이는 바다의 물결, 산 속에서의 메아리, 라디오의 전파 등을 통하여 생활전반에 있어서 쉽게 느낄 수 있는 현상이다. 과학의 발전과 함께 그 영역이 한층 더 확장되었으며 현대에 이르러서는 이러한 파동의 원리가 통신수단으로 이용됨으로서 현대인의 생활 깊숙이 뿌리박히게 되었다.
또한 현대에 들어서 모든 생명체는 나름대로의 파동이 있고, 에너지가 있다고 생각하는 동양적 세계관이 관심을 끌게 되었고, 이러한 동양적 사고는 현대의학에 영향을 주어 인간 정신 치료의 영역에까지 범위를 넓혀 놓은 계기가 되었다.
이렇듯 우리 생활에 밀접하게 이용되어지는 파동의 원리는 동·서양을 넘어서 현대인의 관심을 불러일으키고 있으며 그 쓰임 또한 다양한 분야로 넓혀지고 있다.
이에 본 연구에서는 우리생활에 여러모로 응용되어지고 있는 파동의 현상을 장신구의 소재로 이용하여, 파동현상에서 파장의 형태를 연구하여 조형적으로 그 파장의 아름다움을 장신구에 이용하여 이를 형상화하고자 한다.
파동은 반사, 굴절, 회절, 간섭 등의 현상을 통해 그 모습이 나타나며, 이러한 파문의 현상을 조형적 요소 중에서 직선과 곡선을 기본으로 해석하였다. 파동의 형상을 조형화 함에 있어서 이러한 현상에서 느껴지는 선적인 요소를 조형의 소재로 삼아 동적인 형태의 디자인을 전개해 나가고자 한다.
본 연구에서는 파동의 개념과 종류, 파동의 현상 등을 고찰하여, 일상에서 인식하지 못하고 쉽게 지나쳐 버리는 파동의 형상에 관심을 기울임으로서 바쁜 현대인의 생활 속에서 보이지 않는 자연의 에너지를 느낄 수 있도록 파동의 이미지를 조형화하여 장신구의 형태로 제작하고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The natural environment surrounding us is constantly changing unaffected by the constraint of time and space as well as the will of people. The phenomenon of wave is a natural phenomenon which is commonly perceived. Sea wave, mountain echo, and radio frequency are all easily perceived in everyday life.
In company with the advancement of science, the sphere of wave has expanded. The principle of wave is presently used as a means of communication, so it is widely and deeply rooted in our life. Moreover, the East Asian world view that every living creature has its own wave and energy is beginning to receive attention. This Asian way of thinking has influenced the modern medicine such that it even expanded the domain of psychiatrical treatments. As such, the principle of wave draws the interest of contemporary people across the East and West, and its use is expanding widely across diverse areas.
This study aims at the following. It uses the phenomenon of wave widely applicable in everyday life as a material of personal ornaments. It then explores the figure of wave found in the phenomenon of wave, and produces the figure of the beauty of wave by applying it to personal ornaments.
Wave appears through the phenomena of reflection, refraction, diffraction, and interference. This study interprets the phenomenon of wave in terms of two particular figurative factors straight line and circle. And it intends to develop designing the figure of circle by adopting the circular factor felt in this phenomenon as a material of figuration.
This study investigates the concepts, kinds, and phenomena of wave, and pays attention to the figure of wave which is either unrecognized or easily overlooked in everyday life. It then produces the image of wave in the form of personal ornament so that people in their hectic life can feel the unperceivable energy of nature.
