이영도의 결핵문학 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이영도는 우리의 현대문단에서 대표적인 여성시조시인으로 평가되고 있다. 이 글에서는 이영도의 결핵문학, 특히 마산에서의 결핵 체험을 중심으로 살펴보고자 한다. 그녀가 결핵이라는 원체험을 어떻게 다루고 있으며, 그것은 어떤 의미를 담아내고 있는지에 초점을 두었다. 이에 글쓴이는 이영도의 삶에 드리워진 결핵 체험을 꼼꼼하게 짚어보았고, 그녀의 시조와 수필 작품들을 분석함으로써 결핵 체험의 문학적 형상화를 따져 보았다.
먼저, 이영도는 이영도는 결핵으로 1949년 5월부터 1년 동안 마산교통요양원에 입원하기도 했으며, 결핵이 재발하여 1954년 10월부터 마산성지여고에서 2년 동안 근무하기도 했다. 그런 만큼 결핵은 그녀의 문학세계에 많은 영향을 미치게 되었던 것이다. 그녀의 결핵 체험은 시조와 수필 등의 작품에 고스란히 들앉아 있다.
다음으로, 이영도는 170여 편의 시조를 남겼다. 그녀의 시조집 가운데 『청저집』에 실린 시조들은 대개 그녀의 결핵 앓으면서 느낀 정서를 노래한 작품들로 이루어져 있다. 또한 이영도는 500여 편의 수필을 남겼다. 마산에서의 결핵 체험을 다룬 수필로는 「요양원 일지」, 「청화헌」, 「수인」, 「추어탕」, 「계명암기」 등이 있다. 이들 수필을 통해 그녀는 자신의 결핵체험을 더욱 구체적으로 형상화하고 있다.
이렇듯 이영도의 시조와 수필 속에 투영된 결핵 체험은 그녀의 문학세계를 총체적으로 이해하는 데 있어 불가결한 요소일 것이다. 이 글에서 다룬 그녀의 삶과 문학은 광복 전쟁기 마산의 결핵문학에서도 각별한 의미를 지니고 있다. 앞으로 그녀의 시조와 수필 작품을 모두 아우르는 문학전집이 발간되고, 이영도의 삶과 문학에 대한 연구가 더욱 활성화기를 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Lee Young-do is regarded as a representative poet of female poetry in our modern literary world. In this article, I will focus on her life and literature, especially the experience of tuberculosis in Masan. She focused on how she treats the original experience of tuberculosis and what it represents. Therefore, the writer meticulously examined the experiences of tuberculosis in her life and analyzed the literary form of tuberculosis experience by analyzing her works and essays.
First, Lee Young-do was admitted to the Masan Transportation sanitarium, for one year from May 1949 as a result of tuberculosis. Since the recurrence of tuberculosis, From October 1954, he worked for two years at the Masan Sungji high school. As such, tuberculosis has had much influence on her literary world. Her experience of tuberculosis sits on the works of Sijo and Essay.
Next, she left more than 170 section sijo. Among the her sijo piece, Sijo loaded in Chungeojip are usually composed of works that sang the emotions they felt while suffering from tuberculosis. also She left more than 500 essays. Essays dealing with the experience in Masan Tuberculosis: These are the “Sanitarium Journal”, “Chunghuahun”, “A prisoner”, “Chueotang”. Through these essays, she is more specific in her experience of tuberculosis.
This way, The tuberculosis experience projected in the novels and essays of her is an indispensable element in the overall understanding of her literary world. Her life and literature covered in this article have a special significance in the literature of the liberation period and the Korean War period. In the future, a whole collection of literature will be published covering her poems and essays, and her research on life and literature of Lee Young-do is expected to be more active.
