The Operation of form-work has been considered as one of crucial operations in construction. Many researches have been focused on reducing the direct costs and durations and providing positive influences on subsequent works. However, these efforts have been limited due to poor performance data caused by the shortage of practitioners with sufficient knowledge and experiences in the operation of form-work. Beside of the shortage of well-experienced professional construction engineers, the difficulty in establishment of a evaluation methodology which is for finding an appropriate operation method based on specific site conditions. In addition, emerging technologies having a lot of positive application benefits are not introduced and applied in actual construction due to the shortage of historical performance data for comparing to traditional methods. Based on the statement above, it demands that the appropriate evaluation methodology which is capable of comparison with the conventional operation method is established. This study presents partial achievement of a preliminary step in a process of establishment of evaluation methodology of emerging technology in form work operations.
