호텔 컨벤션 센타 育成을 爲한 硏究 = A Study on Promotion of the Hotel Convention Center

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The revolutionary developments in modern science has brought about rapid changes in the tourism industry converting the nature of tourism from a simple individual sight-seeing into a professionally organized business trip. The Hotel Convention Center has now grown to be the Hotel's most important strategic department.
The statistical analysis indicated in the thesis reveals that numbers of incoming tourists and Conventions are both increasing in Korea, while the level of the needed trained specialists and facilities are still far behind those of major competing Countries.
In order to work out the present shortages and problems of hosting international Conventions, a massive governmental support is indispensable in establishing the needed educational system and equipments to train the personnel and realizing the beneficial relationships with major international conventions organizers, along with providing sufficient facilities and accommodations.
The thesis further proposes the government to establish public and professional associations, namely, the Convention Support Committee and the Convention Service Center for most efficient and competent operations of international Conventions and to found a Convention Funds for a substantial financial support to the Hotel Convention Center.
