The reserve proteins of the five cultivars of Phaseolus aureus were compared in terms of their fractional pattern using the disc-electrophoresis, which revealed more than 15 bands, respectively. And, as follows, the five cultivars were divided into three groups.
The cultivars from Korea and Phlippine showed similar characteristics. There appeared α-band in the cultivar from India.
Particularly, the cultivars from Taiwan and Thailand were identical and provided strong β-band, which was absent in other cultivars.
