지각된 친환경 호텔속성이 종사자의 친환경적 행동의도에 미치는 영향 = The Study on the Effects of Employees’ Perceived Eco-friendly Hotel Attributes on Their Eco-friendly Behavioral Intention

The “green management” is a key strategy in the contemporary market and the hotel industry cannot be the exception to this issue. Therefore, the current study aimed to examine how the green management of hotels influences their employees’ pro-environmental behavioral intentions. To achieve the research purpose, we surveyed 174 hotel employees who work for South Korean hotels. Using exploratory factor analysis, ANOVA, and regression models, we analyzed the relationship between employees' perceived eco-friendly hotel attributes and their eco-friendly behavioral intentions. The results provides three primary findings. First, respondents perceive eco-friendly hotel attributes in terms of education, facilities/products, communication, and expertise. Second, respondents, particularly older respondents, have higher degrees of pro-environmental behavioral intentions. Third, eco-frendly facilities/products, education, and communication positively influence employees’ pro-environmental behavior while the impact of eco-frendly expertise is not significant.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 국내 호텔기업의 경영전략으로서 친환경경영을 이해하기 위하여 호텔종사자들이 지각하는 근무호텔의 친환경속성이 종사자 개인의 친환경행동의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 국내 호텔에 근무하는 174명의 종사자에 대한 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 탐색적 요인분석, 다중회귀분석 등의 기법으로 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 국내 호텔종사자들이 지각하는 호텔의 친환경속성은 친환경교육, 친환경시설/물품, 친환경홍보, 친환경전문성의 네 가지 세부 속성으로 추출되었다. 또한 호텔종사자들의 친환경적 행동의도는 전반적으로 높은 수준으로 나타났으며 특히 연령이 높은 종사자일수록 친환경 행동의도가 높이 나타났다. 마지막으로 종사자가 지각한 호텔의 친환경 속성가운데 친환경교육, 친환경시설/물품, 친환경홍보가 종사자의 친환경적 행동의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 이 가운데 친환경시설/물품의 영향이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 분석결과에 기초하여 호텔기업의 친환경경영과 관련된 몇 가지 시사점을 제시한다.
