    Today’s rapid industrial growth caused insensitivity to something cultural with productivity the ultimate goal and the general public’s diversifying cultural needs and communication in the public space have been excluded. However, a new media culture brought information sharing and the possibility of communication to the maximum and the characteristics of the contemporary media enabled cultural and artistic changes, creating a new culture of direct communication with the public, interaction between individuals in society, organic communication with the general public. This can be witnessed in designing and building environmental sculptures eliciting artists’ participation in the public space from the society’s perspective.
    The general public’s new role and social contribution inevitably made people have a new social perspective in terms of a new role for the artists. New culture environmental sculpture in the public space leads to interactive features of digital media in the category of the public art with public messages, thus generating an ideal space for public communication and a culturally open domain, which the public art pursues. The nature of the environmental sculptures in the 21st century, the era of the new culture, is flexible and organic due to lively participation and intervention by the public audiences. At the same time, it is a symbol of space and society, a message of putting something into practice, a new culture of interaction,! which stimulates creativity and imagination through positive amusement.
