자유선택활동 시간의 놀이 계획—실행—평가 관행에 대한 비판적 탐색

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 문헌연구를 통하여 현재 대부분의 유아교육기관에서 놀이와 발달 및 학습을 촉진하기 위해 자유선택활동 시간에 실시하는 놀이(흥미영역) 계획(선택)- 실행-평가의 관행(이하 관행)이 교육적으로 가치 있는 것인지 비판적으로 고찰하고 개선방향을 제안하는데 있다. 이를 위해 이 관행의 시작-확산-현황과 이 관행에 대한 두 가지 해석과 관련 연구 결과를 살펴보았고, 놀이의 중요성 및 유아교육기관에서의 놀이의 의미, 교사의 역할 측면에서 이 관행을 비판적으로 분석하였다. 마지막으로는 이 관행의 실시를 위한 의사 결정에 필요한 추후 과제를 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to critically examine the play plan-play-evaluation routine during free play periods through a literature review. Even though this routine is currently practiced in many early childhood education settings, its educational effects have not been thoroughly researched. In addition, there have been two contrasting perspectives on the practical meaning of the routine and its positive or negative effects varied depending on which perspective was used when implementing the routine. Considering the importance of play for young children’s development and the shortage of time for play, the decision about which routine to use should be made after further investigating the three related issues suggested in this paper.
