한국 정보 문화의 특성과 현황

국문 초록 (Abstract)

정보화의 진전과 더불어 정보화 정책의 방향이 기술적 측면에서 문화적 측면으로 이행 중이며, 그러한 동향은 정보화 역기능의 증가세와 함께 보다 역력해지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다음과 같은 절차로 한국 정보 문화의 특성과 현황을 파악해보고자 한다.
우선 정보 문화에 관한 기존 연구 결과에 의거해 주체, 객체 및 맥락에 대한 정보 문화의 9가지 속성을 연역적으로 추론하였다. 다음에는, 연관어 검색 프로그램 “아울림(http://owlim.com)” 및 집단 평가법에 의한 속성어 유형 분류를 통해 11가지 속성을 추가하여, 한국 정보 문화를 대변하는 총 20개의 속성을 압출하였다. 또 속성들 간의 상관관계에 근거해 ‘초현실계’, ‘전이성’, ‘상호주관성’, ‘신(新)일상성’ 및 ‘탐닉성’이라는 5개 집락의 존재를 확인한 후, SNA 기법을 적용한 집락 구조 분석을 통해 새로운 문화 질서가 창발하는 희망적 경로와 총체적 혼돈 상태로 전락하는 절망적 경로라는 상반된 길을 전망하였다.
결론적으로, 한국의 정보 문화에는 감성과 유희성이 배가된 풍성한 장래가 예상되는 발전적 측면이 있는가 하면 극단적 탐닉에 의한 위험성이 공존하는바, 공유?상생?협력을 지향하는 새로운 일상성이 발양되면 발전적 방향으로의 진전을 기대할 수 있을 것으로 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

With the proliferation of dysfuctions of informatization, the focus of policy and public interest concerning informatization has shifted from the technological to cultural aspect over the last two decades. This study aims to examine the characteristics and structural arrangement of cyberculture of Korea in terms of the following procedure.
First, through the literature review, 9 characteristics of Korean cyberculture were deduced. Second, 11 characteristics were added by a series of inductive investigation. Next, based on the correlations of those 20 characteristics, clusters of ‘hyperreality’, ‘transformation’, ‘intersubjectivity’, ‘neo-everyday life’ and ‘indulgence’ were identified. Finally, through the analysis of cluster networks, a hypothetical structural pattern of Korean cyberculture was suggested. In conclusion, two contrasting prospects were forecasted; an optimistic path that will give rise to a more refined order of cyberculture and a pessimistic path leading to the state of total chaos.
